Specialty in Supply Chain Organization and Management

This specialty provides advanced training in the optimization of the processes derived from the supply chain, from the acquisition of raw materials to the delivery of the final product to the customer. To do this, the industrial engineers of this specialty will ensure that the products arrive on time, with the appropriate quality and an efficient cost, maximizing the value for the company and the customer. Among others, their responsibilities include: the design and planning of the supply chain, inventory management, logistics optimization, supplier management, cost analysis, demand planning, risk management, continuous improvement and sustainability.

For this, the curriculum has been designed so that in the first year training is included in quantitative tools for optimization and supply management and production systems. In the second year, the training focuses on various functions associated with the operations management area such as asset management, supply chain and distribution networks.

With the training in this specialty, graduates will be able to manage the supply chain in companies from different sectors, with the application of efficient methods in the design and organization of the same.

In the 2025/26 course, the subjects of the first course and some second (in 2026/27 will be offered the rest of those of the second year). These subjects are taken together with the degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering ( GITI-2010 ). The following table shows the correspondence between the subjects of the specialty and those of the Giti-2010.
