Sustainability

US Sustainability Office

The Sustainability Office of the University of Seville , under the Vice-Rectorate for Infrastructure and New Technologies, was created with the mission of inspiring sustainable policies within the University of Seville, in accordance with its Statutes and Governing Program. The Strategic Sustainability Plan is the natural outcome of this mission.

The promotion of a culture of sustainability operates on two fronts: the University Community and society at large. Its primary aim is to educate and inform the University Community about the University's own sustainability initiatives and plans, and its secondary aim is to become a leading source of information and training for the wider public.

The Sustainability Office therefore pursues scientific, social and educational goals: it aims to promote attitudes that mitigate climate change and encourage reflection on bioclimatic design, energy, water, waste, convivial green spaces, mobility and biodiversity.
