JAPA: Open Day for High School Students from Andalusia
Call for Entries for the Awards of the XV Andalusian Open Day of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville
The Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville (ETSI) was founded in 1963 and began operating in the 1966-1967 academic year, more than fifty years ago. In fact, it celebrated its 50th anniversary in the 2013/2014 academic year. Today, it enjoys a renowned national and international reputation. It has trained tens of thousands of engineers, has a faculty of around 500 professors organized into 22 departments, and its facilities (classrooms, library, laboratories, workshops, computing center, etc.) can be considered first-rate in every respect.
The ETSI (School of Engineering) annually holds a series of workshops for pre-university students from schools throughout the province of Seville, confident that firsthand knowledge of the School will help prospective students of the Engineering degrees offered at the ETSI make an informed decision about where to continue their studies. These four-day workshops, known as the ETSI Pre-University Workshops, are attended by over 1,200 pre-university students. Similarly, the 15th ETSI Open Day in Seville (JAPA 2019) aims to extend this opportunity to students with the best academic records from across Andalusia.
One of the highlights of the day is the Applied Sciences in Engineering Olympiad, which aims to recognize the talent and effort of the participants. The Andalusian Open House will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, and will be organized as follows:
- 10:15h: Opening ceremony in the ETSI Auditorium.
- 11:00 a.m.: Celebration of the Applied Sciences to Engineering Olympiad.
- 12:00h: Break.
