The circuit board shown is one of the components of the digital artificial memory of the Self 32, installed in the Control Room to manage the first remote control networks. Its memory capacity is based on ferrite cores traversed by capillaries carrying digital states, as can be seen in the enlarged photographs. The total capacity of all the cores is 700 KB.
