Remote PC
This service makes available to the user, remotely, a PC with characteristics similar to the computers of the calculation center, configured with the most used applications in the ETSI degrees, including all licensed applications.
The service has been designed with the Byod concept (Bring Your Own Device), so that it can be used with any user device (mobile, tablet, laptop, etc.) with the only requirement that it has an updated web browser with support with support HTML5
The advantage of this service is that the applications are executed in the remote equipment, showing on the user's device only the graphic output, that is, the applications are executed in the remote equipment and on our device the remote equipment desktop is presented , with full functionality.
The remote PC service is limited to students who formally request it by the mechanisms established in this same document and meet the following requirements:
- Are enrolled in the subject's final master's
- They have a job end of the awarded and have not yet requested the defense.
Applications are made through the form available in the application management of the end of titration
The maximum session time is 4 hours. After this time, the resource is automatically released, being available to the rest of the users.
The session will close automatically after 60 minutes of inactivity.
The data generated during a user session are totally volatile, that is, they remain while the session lasts. Once the session is finished, they are irreversibly lost. For this reason, it is very important that the user systematically recorded all their data in storage systems outside the system, such as OneDrive or the slogan system: https://conasigna.es.es
The calculation center especially recommends the use of OneDrive, as storage of the different applications, to avoid loss of data due to failure or restart of the system. In this way, session data will always be available in the cloud. A document in which it is explained how to act to adopt this form of work will be available on the remote desktop.
A user can only keep an active session.
