Access restrictions: Events at La Cartuja Stadium

During the current academic year, several large-scale events will be held at the Cartuja Stadium, which could affect transportation, access, and parking at the University Center. The School of Engineering (ETSI), in collaboration with the University of Seville's General Directorate of University Space (DGEU), has established the following protocol for those days when these events coincide with academic activities:

  • Security personnel will be reinforced at the center from several hours before the meetings begin until several hours after they end. If any member of the ETSi community detects an incident that could jeopardize the safety of people or facilities, they should contact the reception desk (86100) so that the security service can be notified and appropriate measures taken.

  • The doors of the Plaza de América Building will be open for exit only, with no entry permitted, starting two hours before the event begins. Access to the Plaza de América Building will then be through the South entrance (opposite Isla Mágica). Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) and Technical and Service Personnel (PTGAS) may also access the building through Gate 6 if they possess a university ID card with the appropriate coding. In the case of events declared high-risk by the authorities, these measures may be implemented starting 3-4 hours before the event begins.

  • It is recommended to bring your US student/staff/professor ID to facilitate the work of security personnel or to identify yourself in case of access restrictions prior to the event.

  • The fenced parking lot, which is managed by the DGEU, will operate normally, with additional security.

  • Parking outside the center will be governed by the instructions of the Seville City Council.

  • To access the ETSi, it is recommended to plan your transfer well in advance, following the instructions of the Seville City Council and the Local Police.

  • It is recommended, as far as possible, not to plan academic activities outside of school hours in the hours leading up to the game.

To facilitate the planning of our regular academic activities, the list of confirmed events to date is detailed below. This information will be updated as new announcements are received
