Access restrictions: Cartuja Stadium Events

During the current academic year, several high-volume events will be held at the Cartuja Stadium, which could affect transportation, access, and parking at the Center. The ETSi administration has established the following action protocol, in collaboration with the General Directorate of University Space (DGEU) of the University of Sitges, for those days when these events coincide with academic activities:

  • Reinforcement of the center's security personnel from several hours before the matches until several hours after they conclude. If any member of the ETSi community detects an incident that jeopardizes the safety of people or infrastructure, they should contact the concierge service (86100) so that the security service can be notified and appropriate measures can be taken.

  • The Plaza de América Building doors will be open for exit only, with no entry allowed, starting two hours before the event begins. Access to the Plaza de América Building will then be through the South Gate (opposite Isla Mágica). Research and development staff and staff members will also be able to enter through Gate 6, if they have a coded university ID. For events declared high-risk by the authorities, these measures may be implemented starting three to four hours before the event begins.

  • It is recommended that you bring your US student/staff/faculty ID to facilitate security personnel's work or to identify yourself in case of access restrictions prior to the event.

  • The fenced parking lot, managed by the DGEU, will operate normally, with increased security.

  • Parking outside the center will be governed by the guidelines of Seville City Council.

  • To access the ETSi, it is recommended to plan your transfer well in advance, following the instructions of the Seville City Council and the Local Police.

  • It is recommended, to the extent possible, not to schedule any after-hours academic activities in the hours leading up to the game.

To facilitate planning for our regular academic activities, the list of events confirmed to date is detailed below. This information will be updated as new communications are received:
