Azvi Chair
The Azvi Chair: Infrastructure and Construction Technologies marks a strategic collaboration between the University of Seville and Azvi, established to promote excellence in the training of future professionals, drive applied innovation, and anticipate the challenges of the civil engineering sector. Azvi is a multinational company originating in Seville and a leading name in the infrastructure sector, distinguished by its significant international presence and its commitment to developing increasingly sustainable, digital, and efficient infrastructure.
Students' training will be enhanced through internships, specialized seminars, site visits, and participation in real-world projects, providing them with practical experience in the planning, execution, and management of large-scale infrastructure. The Chair will also develop research projects focused on key challenges in contemporary civil engineering, such as railway and hydraulic infrastructure, the digitalization of construction using BIM methodology, energy efficiency, and process optimization.
The Chair is especially linked to the Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and the Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Canals and Ports of the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi), constituting a milestone as it is the first chair of the School focused specifically on this sector and consolidating an ecosystem capable of attracting talent and transferring knowledge to the reality of the works.
