Wingenia-Energy Chair

The Wingenia-Energy Chair was created with the aim of promoting research, knowledge transfer and training in renewable energies, energy storage and emerging technologies among the university community.

This new chair, established within the Department of Energy Engineering at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, also aims to foster an entrepreneurial culture among university students through training in subjects related to organization, corporate values, and sustainability. The 'Wingenia Energy Chair' considers these aspects strategic pillars for the development of society and the economy, both in Seville and throughout Andalusia.

The agreement includes the implementation of joint R&D&I programs, as well as postgraduate and specialization courses for students and professionals, forums for dialogue between academia and industry, and other training, outreach, and knowledge transfer activities. The Chair will also promote academic work focused on the rational and efficient use of energy.

This initiative also includes an aspect focused on university training for Wingenia staff, thus reinforcing the bidirectional relationship between the academic and professional environments.
