The Lantania Chair: Water Engineering and Technology is the result of a strategic alliance between the University of Seville —Top 2% in the international CWUR ranking— and the Lantania Group, a leading company in water infrastructure and treatment, ranked among the 20 construction companies with the greatest desalination capacity globally.
It was created with the aim of generating advanced and sustainable solutions for the complete water cycle, promoting knowledge transfer between university and business, and training highly specialized talent capable of facing the water challenges of the future.
The operational framework of the Chair is located in the Sevilla TechPark (PCT Cartuja), taking advantage of the physical proximity between the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI) and the headquarters of Lantania Aguas, which facilitates an agile and direct transfer of knowledge.
