Provenance : The sculpture was created to commemorate the establishment of the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers in Seville, in the building designed by architects Jaime López de Asiain and Manuel Blanco Díaz (1964-1967) on Avenida Reina Mercedes. Installed in the garden in front of the building, it was designed in close relation to its surroundings and conceived in conjunction with the building itself. Later, the sculpture was moved to the main entrance of the current ETSI building on Isla de la Cartuja, the former Plaza de América Pavilion at Expo '92, in a spacious location where it can be viewed from all angles.

General description : Abstract composition with a play of contrasts between different volumes, textures and lines, which give it considerable artistic value.
The prismatic concrete pedestal bears the engraved emblem and the inscription in capital letters of the "Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers." This makes the structure a testament to the beginnings of the Higher Technical School of Engineering in Seville.
