Francisco Jesús Rodríguez Ruiz

After graduating from the ETSI (School of Engineering), I enrolled in a Master's program in Multimedia and Communications at Carlos III University of Madrid, where I also completed a PhD in Machine Learning in 2015. Following this, I spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University in New York, followed by a second postdoctoral fellowship funded by the European Union's Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant, affiliated with both Columbia University and the University of Cambridge in the UK. Since 2019, I have been part of DeepMind, a company acquired by Google in 2014 that focuses on research in the field of Artificial Intelligence, where I currently work as a researcher.

In addition to providing me with the technical knowledge necessary to continue my academic training, my time at ETSi allowed me to acquire a range of skills to navigate and solve problems throughout my professional career. Furthermore, it awakened, or at least intensified, my passion for learning and research. Finally, my time at ETSi enabled me to grow personally and make new friends.
