Endesa's occupational risk prevention policy for Spain and Portugal.

Improving working conditions and protecting the health of ENDESA employees is an essential and strategic commitment that must be achieved through the application of our Occupational Risk Prevention Policy

This Policy, which goes beyond compliance with legal regulations, is strongly promoted by the Company's Management, must be embraced by all who work here, and is based on the following ten commitments:

  1. Ensure strict compliance with current legislation on occupational safety and health
  2. Eliminate occupational risks as far as possible, assessing and controlling risks that could not be avoided
  3. Combat risks at their source, including occupational risk prevention in the design of new processes and facilities
  4. Integrate prevention management at all hierarchical levels of the Company
  5. To guarantee employees periodic health monitoring based on the risks inherent in their work
  6. Inform and properly train all employees so they can perform their work safely
  7. Promote attitudes that favor improved safety
  8. Consult with and involve employees, through their representatives, in matters of prevention and occupational risks
  9. Establish active controls and audits that allow for continuous improvement in this area
  10. Require contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to comply with both current legislation on occupational safety and health, and ENDESA's preventive policy.
