Francisco Carrasco Arenas

Technical advisor to the FERAGUA Association of Irrigation Communities of Andalusia

A civil engineer specializing in roads, canals, and ports, having graduated from the University of Seville and pursued further studies at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, I began my professional career at the Guadalquivir River Basin Authority under an external contract to manage the operation and safety of dams in the province of Seville. For over four years, in addition to managing hydraulic infrastructure, this experience allowed me to learn about construction and project management from an administrative perspective.

In November 2018, I began my new professional stage, in this case at Asociación FERAGUA, as technical manager and managing a series of R&D projects focused on the efficient management of water and energy resources in the field of irrigated agriculture.

These days I often pass by the School and it always brings back wonderful memories, despite the challenging and difficult times of my studies. As the years go by, you increasingly appreciate the effort and preparation you gain during your degree; it's like a toolbox for navigating diverse environments, jobs, and professional experiences. Finally, I'd like to say that what you take with you from the School is not only the education you receive, but also those classmates who become lifelong friends
