GHENOVA Chair of Integrated Projects at the University of Seville
The Ghenova Chair of Integrated Projects aims to facilitate, promote and enhance students' knowledge of the realities of engineering projects developed by companies in the sector, paying special attention to the professional digital design and calculation environments commonly used in engineering projects.
Furthermore, the Chair aims to promote and develop the knowledge necessary for the technical and managerial integration of the various disciplines involved in engineering projects throughout their different phases. This comprehensive approach considers the entire project lifecycle and facilitates the execution of projects of high technical and managerial complexity, encompassing numerous technical disciplines (Civil, Structural, Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, and Safety and Environment) and requiring a considerable volume of annual engineering and project team hours across multiple locations.
The Chair will promote the production of high-quality academic work related to various technical disciplines, technologies, and methodologies involved in the management and execution of engineering projects in the fields of industry, energy, infrastructure, the integrated water cycle, and ports.
The main activities of the Chair, developed with the collaboration of professors from the Department of Construction Engineering and Engineering Projects, will be the following:
- The provision of paid curricular and extracurricular internships, as well as the awarding of scholarships for the completion of Final Degree Projects (TFE) and doctoral programs, including prizes for the best TFEs.
- The joint development of promotional, outreach, training, study and research activities, within the framework of specific programs linked to the scope of application of the Chair.
- The organization of forums and meetings that promote the exchange of knowledge between academics, professionals from the business sector, students and other people or entities directly or indirectly related to the areas of work of the Chair.
