More than 70 companies met at ESIEM25 to connect talent and the future at the ETSI of Seville

The Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi) of the University of Seville held the 22nd edition of the Meeting on Engineering and Employment (ESIEM25) last Wednesday, April 2, 2025, a benchmark event that brought together more than 70 national and international companies with the aim of bringing the professional world closer to engineering students.

In addition to the information booths, attendees interacted directly with company representatives, submitted resumes, attended presentations, and learned firsthand about the real needs of the job market and the most in-demand profiles.

Over the past 22 years, ESIEM has established itself as the most consolidated and longest-running engineering job fair, making it a key event for both companies, who find in this event the opportunity to make initial contact with future professionals in their sector, and students, who gain direct exposure to managers, executives, and human resources personnel from companies in the technology and industrial sectors. The success of past editions confirms its status as a leading event, with the participation of more than 70 leading companies and over 3,000 students in attendance.

ESIEM 2024: An engineering and employment event in which the most significant companies in the sector participate

Engineering and Employment Conference (ESIEM 2024)  for another year , this year celebrating its twenty-first edition.

The Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, ETSi, celebrated on March 20th the 21st Edition of the Meeting on Engineering and Employment (ESIEM) 2024, an annual event held since 2003 with the aim of creating a first approach between students and companies and institutions from the different fields of engineering.

This meeting, held in a science and innovation environment such as the Cartuja Science and Technology Park, offers an exceptional setting for companies to meet firsthand future engineers who meet the professional profiles they demand, as well as for students, who make a first contact with the working world that awaits them in the not too distant future.

This year, ESIEM welcomed over 70 companies from the industrial sector, as well as institutions that also require engineers for their staff. The international character of the event was evident in the participation of multinationals such as Indra, Persán, Acciona, Cepsa, Acerinox, NTTData, Huawei, Cosentino, Airbus, and many more ( https://www.esiem.es/expcon.php ). Equally noteworthy was the presence of numerous national companies and institutions that have a significant economic impact on the region, both in terms of their business volume and job creation figures, such as Emasesa, Accenture, Ayesa, Elecnor, and Idener, among others. Professional associations, the Ministry of Defense, CATEC, CTA, and the Andalusia Aerospace Cluster, among others, were also present at this annual event.

During the day, companies held presentations and conferences of interest to the students, allowing for a closer connection between them; companies with a need to incorporate new profiles into their ranks and students, who in the short future will become the professionals in demand.

Due to its long history and the fact that it is always held in person, the Engineering and Employment Meeting, ESIEM, has become a benchmark among meetings and job fairs in the field of engineering at the national level, with the participation of more than 3000 attendees, being the perfect setting to begin the relationship of students in the final years of their degree or recent graduates of the different degrees taught at the ETSI with the world of work, thanks to the job and internship offers made by the participating companies and the guidance they provide to the future engineer.
