Hitachi Energy Chair

The Hitachi Energy Chair seals a long history of links between the University of Seville and Hitachi Energy since the engineering and R&D areas of the transformer factory that Hitachi Energy has in Córdoba, in a commitment to innovation, have been working closely jointly with research groups from the Center.

Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader driving a sustainable energy future. It serves clients in the generation, transportation and distribution of electrical energy, industry and infrastructure sectors, providing innovative solutions and services integrating the entire value chain.

Promoting research projects, as well as strengthening and formalizing the company's relationship with engineering students who, in the not too distant future, will be the professionals who nourish the industry, has been the founding objective of the new Chair. 

The training of these students will be benefited thanks to the conference programs, sessions and congresses that will take place within the framework of the Chair, as well as by the proposal of topics related to the activity of Hitachi Energy on which the students will be able to develop their final projects for degrees and masters. Likewise, another fundamental pillar that is strengthened with this union is that of scholarships and internship offers in different areas of the company.
