Hitachi Energy Chair

The Hitachi Energy Chair marks a long history of collaboration between the University of Seville and Hitachi Energy, as the engineering and R&D areas of the transformer factory that Hitachi Energy has in Cordoba, in a commitment to innovation, have been working together with research groups from the Center.

Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader driving a sustainable energy future. It serves customers in the power generation, transmission, and distribution, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, providing innovative solutions and services across the entire value chain.

Boosting research projects, as well as strengthening and formalizing the company's relationship with engineering students who, in the not too distant future, will be the professionals who feed the industry, has been the founding objective of the new Chair.

The education of these students will benefit from the lectures, sessions, and conferences held within the framework of the Chair, as well as from the selection of topics related to Hitachi Energy's activities on which students can develop their undergraduate and master's theses. Furthermore, another key aspect strengthened by this partnership is the provision of scholarships and internship opportunities in various areas of the company.
