AIRBUS GROUP Aerospace Chair

The Airbus Group Chair of Aeronautical Studies at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville (ETSi) was created with the aim of promoting collaboration between both entities, Airbus Group and University of Seville, in the training of engineers, as well as in the scientific and technological dissemination in the area of ​​interest of the company and in the development of engineering projects of common interest.

The AIRBUS GROUP Chair is the window that channels collaboration between AIRBUS and the University of Seville, primarily in the areas of training and scientific and technological dissemination.

Specifically, it offers free training courses for engineering students and professionals in the aeronautical sector on highly specialized topics within the aeronautical industry, and organizes lecture series and roundtables led by renowned professionals. It also supports the development of student and research initiatives through grants for conferences and research stays abroad, awards prizes for excellence in aeronautical engineering, and publishes journals in this field.
The Chair is directed by Federico París Carballo, Professor of Continuum Mechanics at the University of Seville and Director of GERM, and the Secretary is Elena Correa Montoto, a professor at GERM.
