"I'm very grateful to have studied at ETSI because it has greatly influenced my career so far. Not only for the knowledge it provides, but also because at ETSI you learn to be practical, to make the most of your time, and above all, to solve problems. You have to study and work hard, but it's totally worth it because any problems that later arise at work are put into perspective and don't seem like major issues. Furthermore, I have very fond memories of my time there with my classmates, and it can be perfectly combined with a social life, and you can even get good grades if you keep up with your coursework and attend classes."
I hold a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Seville and a Master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering, specializing in ports, from TU Delft University of Technology (Netherlands). During the final year of my Master's studies, after graduating, I worked in Rotterdam for four years at Port Consultants Rotterdam, a port technical consultancy with close ties to the Port of Rotterdam. During that time, I had the opportunity to learn from experts who oversaw the port's most recent expansion and was involved in projects around the world, some of which I have had the opportunity to visit.
In October 2021, I returned to Spain, to Madrid, and since then I've been working as a Senior Port and Maritime Consultant at ALG. ALG is a strategic and business consulting firm specializing in infrastructure, transport, and logistics, with a strong global presence. The projects I work on are very diverse and span many regions. Some examples include technical due diligence, privatizations, market research, and feasibility studies for expansions, acquisitions, and PPPs. I've also had the opportunity to travel, which is one of the things I enjoy most about this profession.
