"I am very grateful to have studied at the ETSI because it has greatly influenced my work career until now. Not only because of the knowledge it gives you but because at the ETSI you learn to be practical, to make the most of your time and, above all, to solve problems. You have to study and work hard, but it is totally rewarded because any problem that later appears at work is relativized and is not seen as a problem. Furthermore, I have very good memories of my time there with my colleagues, and It can be combined perfectly with social life, and even get good grades if you keep up with your subjects a little and go to class.”
Civil Engineer from the University of Seville with a master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering, with a specialization in ports, from TU Delft University (Netherlands). In the last year of my master's studies and after obtaining the degree, I was working in Rotterdam for a period of 4 years, in a port technical consultancy with a close relationship with the port of Rotterdam, called Port Consultants Rotterdam. During that time I had the opportunity to learn from experts who have carried out the port's latest expansion, and I was involved in projects around the world, some of which I have had the opportunity to visit.
In October 2021 I returned to Spain, to Madrid, and since then I have worked as a Senior Port and Maritime Consultant at ALG. ALG, a strategic and business consulting company specialized in infrastructure, transportation and logistics, with a large global presence. The projects I work on are very varied and in many regions. Some examples are technical due diligences, privatizations, market studies or feasibility studies of expansions, acquisitions or PPPs. I have also had the opportunity to travel, which is something I like most about this profession.
