Specialty in Materials Engineering and Strength
This specialization focuses on the design, selection, and processing of engineering materials, both traditional and advanced, including metallic, ceramic, polymeric, and composite materials.
It studies the characterization of their physical, mechanical, and strength properties, as well as calculation methods for design and failure analysis within the field of mechanical engineering: industrial structures and components, vehicles, etc.
This training provides the student with the necessary knowledge to propose effective solutions to the industrial needs that arise in their working life in this field.
In the 2025/26 academic year, the first-year courses will be offered, and in 2026/27, the second-year courses. These courses are taken concurrently with the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering ( GITI-2010 ). The following table shows the correspondence between the courses in this specialization and those in GITI-2010.
| Subject of the specialty | It is taught in GITI-2010 under the name of |
| Metallic and Composite Materials | Metallic materials and metal matrix composites |
| Fracture Mechanics | Fracture Mechanics |
| Plastics, Ceramics and Composites | Plastics, Ceramics and Composites |
