Study plan for the Aerospace Engineering Degree
The Aerospace Engineering Degree taught at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville has three mentions (also known as intensifications or specialties):
The name of the mention is specifically indicated in the student's graduate degree.
When it comes to self-registration, the computer system presents all the optional subjects, whether or not they are of the intensification chosen by the student. Therefore, it is the student's responsibility to make a correct choice of them.
In particular, it is a necessary condition to obtain the graduate degree to have completed one of the mentions. Therefore, if by mistake or by design a student completes the 240 credits by mixing subjects from different mentions, upon completion of these credits they will not be able to obtain the degree and must take additional subjects until completing one of the mentions.
Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you read the following guide carefully before self-enrolling in third or fourth year subjects. Questions that may arise about this document can be raised by email to the address Jefeturaestudios-etsi@us.es or docencia-etsi@us.es
The following table shows the general structure of the studies. In it you can see four types of color-coded subjects:
The subjects indicated in aqua green background in the table (identified with the specific name of each subject) are basic training subjects that all students must take.
The subjects indicated in sienna background in the table (identified with the specific name of each subject) are mandatory subjects that all students must take.
The subjects marked in light yellow background (Intensification) are the subjects of each mention. Once an intensification has been chosen, the subjects are unique, so they can be considered “ mandatory mentions .”
These subjects are listed on the following pages for each of the intensifications. The subjects indicated in a grayish blue background ( Intensification Optional ) is a 4.5 credit subject for which each student can choose from an offer that depends on the chosen intensification.
The following pages detail the subjects in this offer, although some of them may not be offered in certain courses.Subjects marked in a bright yellow background ( Common electives ): the student can take one or more of the following options regardless of the chosen intensification (9 credits in total):
Common electives of the degree : they are a series of 4.5 credit subjects that are offered for all mentions of the degree. The following sections list the offer. Each student can choose a maximum of two of these subjects.
Electives common to the Center : they are a series of subjects that will be offered to all ETSI degrees. The offer will be dynamic and may vary from year to year. A list of them appears at the end of this guide.
Specific common electives: the student can enroll in certain optional subjects from other majors. These subjects are only those detailed in the common electives section.
Business practice . 9 ECTS credits can be taken as a subject. The student must ensure that they have been assigned a company before enrolling. To do this, you must contact the ETSi external relations service.
Subject without teaching “English in Engineering” : recognition of 4.5 credits to the student who requests it and accredits a level equivalent to B2 in English.
Academic recognition for extra-university activities (cultural, sports, student representation, solidarity and cooperation) up to a maximum of 6 credits in accordance with university regulations.
The Final Degree Project corresponds to 12 credits. It can only be presented and evaluated once the student has passed at least 70% of the total credits of the degree.
It is also remembered that the level of linguistic skills required to obtain this title is B1 in English, other languages not being valid.
