The Degree in Civil Engineering is the first stage in the training of Civil, Canal and Port Engineering professionals (Academic Program with Successive Course in Civil, Canal and Port Engineering: PARS in Civil, Canal and Port Engineering ) . This PARS trains professionals of great social prestige, who will guarantee adequate development of civil works and infrastructure, dedicating themselves mainly to the calculation, design, construction and operation of works, infrastructure and constructions such as structures, bridges, tunnels, dams, roads, infrastructure railways, ports, coastal infrastructure, reservoirs, pipelines, watershed management, design of transportation networks, land management, etc.
The studies of the Degree in Civil Engineering, lasting 4 courses, lead to obtaining said title that qualifies for professional practice. The competencies of Graduates in Civil Engineering are those legally attributed to Technical Engineers of Public Works (although these studies no longer exist in the catalog of qualifications of the Spanish university system) in the specializations of Civil Constructions, Hydrology and Transportation and Urban Services.

The studies are organized into four courses: in the first and second years, basic subjects are studied (Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Drawing, Chemistry, Computer Science, ...) and pre-technological subjects (Geology, Numerical Methods, Elasticity, Construction Materials, Hydraulics, Topography, Urban Planning, ...) .
In the third and fourth years, technological subjects are addressed and specialization is acquired. The Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Seville has the European seal of international quality in engineering EUR-ACE, which certifies that it meets the professional demands of engineering in an excellent manner.
Students enrolled in this Degree must prove, before requesting the issuance of the degree, that they have obtained a level of linguistic skills in English equivalent to level B1 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
