Arus Andalucía Racing Team presents its art-25d car in the Real Alcázar of Seville under the motto "The engines of a dream"

The team of the University of Seville, Arous Andalucía Racing Team, presented yesterday, June 16, at the Real Alcázar of Seville, the new car with which they will compete in Formula Student in the 2024/25 season: Art-25D.

Under the motto "The engines of a dream", the team, composed of more than 100 students of different degrees and masters of the University of Seville, showed the technological advances that will mark a new stage in its history, reaffirming their ambition for competing to the highest level in the demanding universe of the Student formula.

Before an audience of more than 400 attendees reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable mobility, presenting a new evolved model of the one they developed for the past season, in which they competed with an electric and autonomous model, which also meant a milestone by being the first autonomous vehicle entirely designed, developed and built in Andalusia.

The act was attended by Miguel Ángel Castro Arroyo, rector of the University of Seville; Nieves Valenzuela Romero, General Director of Promotion of Innovation of the Ministry of University, Research and Innovation of the Junta de Andalucía; Minerva Salas López, third deputy mayor of the City of Seville; Andrés Sáez Pérez, director of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville; Sergio Esteban Roncero, delegate of the Rector for the promotion of technological transfer in the teaching innovation of the University of Seville; and Pedro Cabello Pulido, Team Manager of Andalusia Racing Team, Arus.

Art-25D represents a revolution in the technical approach of the team. Among the most outstanding novelties are the adoption of the “Four Wheel Drive” system - which incorporates an engine into each wheel for a personalized power distribution in real time - and the new monozygous carbon fiber chassis, which replaces the previous tubular steel tubular structure, reducing the weight of the vehicle by up to 50%. These innovations place the Sevillian team at the level of the most leading teams of the International University Circuit.

The event, which began at 8:30 p.m. with the reception of guests in the Patio de Banderas del Real Alcázar, included presentations about the new car and the challenges of the season. At 22:15 h a networking session was held in a relaxed atmosphere between team members, institutions, sponsors and collaborators.

Art-25D will compete this summer in the three major scenarios of the European Student formula: Assen (Netherlands), Montmeló (Spain) and Hockenheimring (Germany). In the latter, considered the most prestigious event of the competition, Arus will seek to consolidate and overcome the successes obtained in previous editions, competing from you to you with the best teams on the continent.
