BeOneSec Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence Chair inaugurated

The University of Seville and the company in the digital security sector, BeOneSec, have signed the agreement through which the new BeOneSec Chair of Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence is created.

Based at the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi) of the University of Seville , this chair's fundamental objectives are the promotion of interdisciplinary teaching and research activities focused on the development of new strategies and technologies in the field of cybersecurity and cyber intelligence, as well as reflection on current challenges in these fields.

The new chair will be directed by the professor of the Telematics Engineering department of the University of Seville, Rafael Estepa Alonso, and will have the professor of the same department José Manuel Fornés Rumbao as secretary. This chair will provide students with the opportunity to integrate into an academic environment that promotes research and innovation.

BeoneSec, one of the leading companies in the cybersecurity sector, with a strong specialization in offensive security and cyber intelligence, promotes this initiative, marking a milestone in the collaboration between the public university and the private sector to promote research and development, innovation and outreach in one of the most critical and rapidly growing fields today: cybersecurity.

To achieve this, the activities of the chair will include the identification of prospective projects and studies, as well as the dissemination of their results and the holding of joint R&D events.

Likewise, postgraduate and specialization courses will be organized aimed at both students and professionals, as well as informative and training activities that promote knowledge of cybersecurity and cyberintelligence. The chair also foresees the holding of meeting forums, where academics, businessmen and students will be able to exchange ideas and knowledge. These activities will be aimed at strengthening talent and opportunities for young people, including the granting of scholarships for students and prizes for the best projects related to the field of teaching.

This new project represents an excellent opportunity for ETSi students. Through this chair, students will not only receive more practical training aligned with market needs, but they will also have the opportunity to participate in research activities that will enrich their academic and professional experience.

With the creation of the BeoneSec Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence Chair, the ETSi reinforces its commitment to excellent training and innovation in a strategic sector for today's society.
