Access: As access requirements, it will be necessary to meet both the access requirements to the MII and those corresponding to the MSET, with the respective Academic Commissions retaining the powers over the evaluation of candidates and the establishment of training supplements and leveling subjects referred to in the verification reports, with the exception of the subjects specified in point 3d of this section, which will be considered as training supplements for the double Master's degree.

Recommended Profile: The dual degree program is geared towards students with prior undergraduate training in the field of Energy Engineering, such as graduates in Industrial Technology Engineering with a specialization in Energy or graduates in Energy Engineering. However, graduates of the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering with other specializations or graduates with related degrees, holding the qualifications of an Industrial Technical Engineer, may also be admitted. Given the diverse knowledge base across different engineering disciplines, the Academic Committee for the Degree will determine, on a case-by-case basis, any supplementary coursework required from each student, taking into account their academic background.
In any case, students beginning this degree program should possess the following skills:

Candidates should have a critical attitude and analytical skills, planning, organizational, and teamwork abilities, a motivation for self-directed learning in technical fields, and an interest in pursuing a professional career in the energy sector.
  • Academic Characteristics: Given the advanced teaching involved in this Master's program, it is necessary that the student has acquired a solid foundation in both the basic sciences, primarily Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and in the fundamental aspects of Energy Engineering.
