V Road Olympiad in its local phase in Seville

On March 17, 2023, the V Road Olympiad was held at the ETSI facilities in its local phase in Seville. This Olympiad is aimed at 1st and 2nd year ESO students and, unlike other types of competition, seeks to test the rapid response capacity and structural intuition of a team made up of 5 students. The tests have different degrees of difficulty, but they allow you to exercise leadership roles, attitude towards a problem, the ability to work collaboratively or, for example, adaptation to limited means and tools.  

12 teams from different schools in Cádiz, Seville and Córdoba participated in the V Road Olympiad in its local phase

The 60 participants developed 6 tests, called: “Arch of voussoirs”, “Da Vinci Bridge”, “Dam-Dyke”, “Road engineering and its works”, “logisTIC Freight transport and efficient logistics” and “Playing be an engineer”;

without exceeding the maximum time of 15min per test. Of the 12 participating teams, and from the provinces of Cádiz, Córdoba and Seville, the team from the Bética-Mudarra School in Córdoba with a score of 62 points, with IES Punta del Verde from Seville (59 points ) and, in third, the Colegio de Fomento Tabladilla (47 points) also from Seville.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and the Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Canals and Ports collaborated and had fun with its realization, accompanied by 12 professors from the School as judges and general coordinator of the event. "
