Internships in companies

As a student of the Double Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Chemical Engineering , you can complement your training with the optional subject “Business Internships”.

This experience will allow you to take the first steps in your professional career, developing the skills that companies require today. In addition, you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in your studies in real projects, with the help of both public and private organizations, national and international.

The management of the US internship programs is developed through the Secretariat of Business Internships (SPEE) and from the Business Internship Department of the Etsi .

According to the “Regulations of External Academic Practices of the University of Seville”, approved by Agreement 10.1/CG 23-5-17, there are 2 types of practices:

Curricular Practices

Curricular practices are part of the degree/master's Study Plan as an optional subject.
The number of hours to be completed corresponds to the number of credits assigned to the subject “Business Internships”. Each ECTS credit is equivalent to 25 hours of work, both in bachelor's and master's degrees. More information about curricular practices.

- MII (This Master does not contemplate MANDATORY internships.)
There is the possibility of taking 12 ECTS credits of internships in companies on an OPTIONAL basis.
- MIQ The Master in Chemical Engineering includes a module of Internships and Stays with 15 ECTS.
This module allows the mobility of master's students, initiation into research or incorporation into the professional world. It consists of the following options: • Internships in companies or public institutions: up to 15 credits
• Stays in research laboratories of public organizations, universities or companies: up to 15 credits
• Subjects taken in mobility programs: up to 15 credits
• Final Project Complement Master's degree completed in mobility programs: 15 credits

Can they be done at another Spanish University or abroad?
No.

Extracurricular Practices

The University of Seville (US) offers its students and graduates the possibility of completing their academic training and acquiring professional experience through internships in companies and institutions.
There is the possibility of doing external internships. The internships can be carried out with the master's collaborating companies, universities or research centers. These internships, not included in the curriculum, are professional immersions in companies or institutions that have the purpose of providing:
- A closer knowledge of the work environment.
- The development of professional skills and attitudes.
- The acquisition of habits, practices and values ​​typical of the world of work.
They constitute an important complement to academic training, a filming aimed at facilitating subsequent job placement.
