(Not offered) Double Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Advanced Design in Mechanical Engineering
Double Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering (MII) and Advanced Design in Mechanical Engineering (MDAIM)
Presentation and guide of the degree on the website of the University of Seville.
A curricular itinerary is proposed to jointly study the university masters in Industrial Engineering (MII) and in Advanced Design in Mechanical Engineering (MDAIM) , based on the complementarity between both degrees.
The Master in Advanced Design in Mechanical Engineering has a mainly specialized professional orientation, although it also has a scientific and research aspect.
The objective of the University Master in Advanced Design in Mechanical Engineering is to form postgraduate with competences in all the issues that are inferred from the subjects taught, mainly solid mechanics, dynamics of mechanical systems, numerical methods, fluid mechanics, composite materials, mechanics of fracture and fatigue, structural calculation, material engineering, manufacturing, biomechanical.
The Master is aimed at graduates in mechanical engineering or engineering of industrial technologies that seek to improve their abilities in the field of mechanical engineering, either for professional practice in that field or for the beginning of a research career.
It is intended to provide graduate postgraduate knowledge engineers that are useful for both their professional incorporation into the different departments of private companies, including R&D, and public administration, as well as for access as a teacher or researcher to universities and public research centers. All within the field of mechanical engineering. In this line, it is intended to enable graduates graduated from the University to access an integral training aimed at the professional world in the corresponding sectors and a specialized training on different aspects of the technology that they will use in the companies where they are incorporated. In addition, this Master completes the training of students so that, if they wish, they can join the doctoral programs and devote themselves to teaching and research tasks.
The current legislation considers the profession of industrial engineer a regulated profession whose exercise requires being in possession of the corresponding official master's degree. The Title of Master in Industrial Engineering includes all the necessary competences to acquire the professional powers of the regulated profession of Industrial Engineer, fulfilling all the precepts of the CIN/311/2009 ministerial order (BOE of February 18, 2009) by which the requirements for the verification of the official university titles that enable for the exercise of the profession of an industrial engineer are established, attributions that are included in the decree of September. of 1935, published in the Gazette of Madrid of September 20, 1935.
Additionally, it is necessary to take into account that the master's degree in industrial engineering contemplates a leveling block, composed of subjects aimed at all the students of the Industrial Engineering program (composed of the degree in industrial technologies engineering plus the master's degree in industrial engineering) acquire the same competences, regardless of the degree with which the master is accessed. These subjects, which are within the Optativity Module of the Master in Industrial Engineering, must be completed, in case the Master's Academic Commission considers it necessary, additionally to the 147 credits of the double master's degree as training supplements. Are the following:
- Rational Mechanics Complements
- Numerical methods
- Heat Transmission Complements
- Manufacturing Technology Complements
- Electrical Technology Accessories
- Mathematics applied to Engineering
The master's degree provides students with a solid scientific training, as well as a wide variety of knowledge in various industrial technologies (mechanics, electricity, electronics, automation, materials, industrial constructions, projects, production, chemistry and environment, energy, and industrial organization). , which forges you as a multidisciplinary professional capable of developing your professional work in industries, companies or public organizations, as well as for the free exercise of the profession.
