Two of our GITI students will participate in the 11th edition of UniRaid

Publication date

Marcos Navarro Roldán and Rafael Méndez Rodríguez, GITI students from the US Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi), will participate in the 11th edition of UniRaid that will take place from October 8 to 16. Together they will embark on an adventure in which they will have to fight against various weather conditions, from the snows of Mount Atlas, to the sands of the Sahara desert, in a car that is more than 20 years old, on which they have worked for months adapting it to the requirements of the competition. At the same time, they will distribute solidarity material throughout Morocco.

UniRaid the only solidarity raid through Morocco exclusively for students

UniRaid is a great human and solidarity adventure for students with an entrepreneurial spirit between 18 and 28 years old.

This is a 9-day itinerary through the Moroccan desert in passenger cars over 20 years old, which in this 11th edition will take place in the month of October 2022. UniRaid is not a rally or a speed race, UniRaid is an adventure trip in which participants must complete 6 stages navigating with a roadbook, and overcoming all types of obstacles, challenges and tests, with the aim of crossing Morocco from north to south and delivering 40kg of solidarity material to the villages of the desert.

From the School we will be very attentive to this great feat of solidarity.

Mark and Raphael. Good luck and enjoy!
