The University of Seville recognizes the research excellence in its annual call of the Faad Awards

The University of Seville has announced the ruling of the Jury of the Awards Fame 2024-25 , which recognize excellence in research and transfer of knowledge in five great branches of knowledge. Among the winners, the recognition granted to Antonio Jesús Torralba Silgado in the engineering and architecture category .

Professor and researcher in electronic and microelectronic circuit design, Antonio Jesús Torralba leads the "Electronic Engineering" group, associated with CERN , where it has developed innovative technological solutions characterized by its low energy consumption. His career stands out both for a solid scientific production and for his commitment to the training of new researchers through the Doctoral Thesis Directorate. In addition, he has performed an intense work in technological transfer , actively participating in high -impact research projects and contracts.

The jury, chaired by Rector Miguel Ángel Castro Arroyo , has adopted the ruling unanimously. Among the vowels were outstanding representatives of the national scientific and academic field. The awards ceremony September 11 at 12:00 hours .
