More than 70 companies meet at Emerie25 to connect talent and future in the ETSI of Seville

The Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI) of the University of Seville today celebrates the 22nd edition of the Meeting on Engineering and Employment (Emerie25), a reference event that has brought together more than 70 national and international companies with the aim of bringing the professional world closer to engineering students.

In the course of the day, the Hornings of the ETSI become a great meeting point between leading companies of sectors such as energy, aeronautics, civil engineering, telecommunications, mobility or technological consulting, and hundreds of students and newly graduates who seek guidance, practical opportunities, employment or direct connection with the productive fabric.

Throughout these 22 years, Emer has been strengthened as the Employment Fair in the most consolidated and longest careering engineering.  The success of past editions supports this reference, with the participation of more than 70 leading companies and the visit of more than 3,000 students.

More than 70 confirmed companies

Among the participating entities are Airbus, Schneider electric, airc, ineco, Hitachi Energy, Sando, Persán, Endesa, Catec, Emasesa, Capgemini, Inerco, Quest Global, Ntt Data, Keyter Group, Horse PowerTrain, Moeve, Cox, Carrier, Ghenova, Azcatec, Ayesa, Ayesa, Elecan, Elec others.

Likewise, this meeting has had a delegation of the Armed Forces, under the Ministry of Defense of the Government of Spain, which has deployed the presence of military ranges of the bodies that compose it: Army, the Navy and the Air and Space Army. The military career after studying some of the engineering provokes a high interest among the students of the ETSI, which finds in this way a possible professional development and an interesting exit to the labor market.

In addition to the informative stands, attendees can interact directly with representatives of the companies, deliver curriculum, attend presentations and learn first hand the real needs of the labor market and the most demanded profiles.

Round themed tables

As a novelty this year, Emerie25 has had eight round themes, where some of the great challenges of current engineering have been addressed: the energy transition, industrial digitalization, automation, sustainability in infrastructure, new materials, mobility of the future or aerospace and defense innovation.

These sessions have gathered more than 30 companies and have had the moderation of members of the ETSI management team, generating a space for dialogue with the student body and promoting reflection on the transforming role of engineering.

A commitment to young talent and university-business connection

The event, organized by the ETSI management team, aims to create bridges between the academic and professional environment, promote qualified youth employment and strengthen the role of the school as the engine of innovation, transfer and training of excellence.

With Emerie25, ETSI reaffirms its commitment to the employability of its students and the development of the Andalusian and national industrial and technological ecosystem.
