CEACOP and the University of Seville sign an agreement to promote engineering and employment in the construction sector

The University of Seville and CEACOP (Circle of Andalusian construction consulting and public works companies) have signed a collaboration agreement to launch initiatives and actions with the aim of promoting engineering degrees, especially the Degree in Civil Engineering and the Master in Civil Engineering, Canals and Ports taught at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, the employability of its graduates, practical training in Andalusian companies and promoting innovation and research projects.

The agreement seeks to contribute to the promotion of the engineering profession, through different actions. It focuses on the practical training of students, through different initiatives such as providing scholarships, completion of final degree projects, internships in companies or awards and recognitions. Likewise, it promotes collaboration through specialized courses, conferences and research and innovation projects.

The event, which was held at the Vice-Rector for Knowledge Transfer of the University of Seville, was attended by the Vice-Rector for Knowledge Transfer, Felipe Rosa Iglesias, and the manager of CEACOP, Arturo Coloma Pérez, signatories of the agreement, as well as the director of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of Seville, Andrés Sáez Pérez -accompanied by representatives of both entities- who reaffirmed their commitment to promoting training and construction sector.

From the University, the vice-rector emphasized the importance of this agreement to promote the profession "since without students there is no profession" and valued the construction sector as an economic engine.

For his part, the CEACOP manager highlighted the importance of this type of agreement for "the development of the sector, awakening vocations and contributing to the training of a new generation of professionals."
