The ETSi attends the General Assembly of the Heritage Network

Heritage Network General Assembly

ETSi professors, Alejandro Marano Marcolini and Juan José Murillo Fuentes, current and next Deputy Director of International Relations and Mobility respectively, attended the 6th General Assembly of the Heritage Network , a network of academic excellence, which was held at the Polytechnic University of Madrid on June 1 and 2, 2023. At this meeting, which is held annually alternately in Europe and India, the guidelines around which the network's actions will revolve were discussed with the motto of Sustainability as basis for them.

Likewise, they welcomed the 30th member of the Heritage Network, the Technological University of Dublin (TU Dublin), which joins the rest of the members of recognized prestige in higher education in the field of engineering.

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) was also chosen as host for the 2014 General Assembly.

The Heritage Network aims to strengthen Higher Education Cooperation (in research and education) between Europe and India in the field of Engineering Sciences. Currently, the network consists of 16 Indian and 14 European members, whose objectives are:

  • Develop academic and research exchanges between partner institutions and promote high-level educational programs in Engineering, Science, Design and Technology between Europe and India.
  • Organize annual workshops on scientific and technical topics of mutual interest.
  • Be a reference for the governments of Europe and India and gain influence on internationalization policies of higher education and research cooperation.
  • Maintain strong relationships and fruitful alliances between members.
