US Racing presents its second electric motorcycle prototype

The official motorcycle team of the University of Seville, USRacing, based at the Higher Technical School of Engineering , presented its second electric prototype this Wednesday at the University's rectorate.

For this new edition, based on the knowledge and experiences acquired in its first electric prototype, USRacing has designed a vehicle that stands out for its improved ergonomics and functionality. Learning from past mistakes, improvements have been made in structural parts to reduce weight and aesthetic appearance, without sacrificing practicality.

This achievement is the result of the application of innovative ideas and constant growth by a multidisciplinary team, which includes components from different centers and faculties, whose knowledge and diversity of approaches are of great value to the team.

The majority of its members belong to the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi), located in the Cartuja Scientific and Technological Park, PCT Cartuja, although students from the Higher Polytechnic School (EPS) and Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering are also part of USRacing. (ETSII), or the Faculties of Mathematics, Law, Communication, Economics and Business Sciences and Physics. Together they contribute their skills and passion towards a common goal: facing the climatic and innovative challenges of these times in the motor world.

Example of passion

“USRacing is much more than a team of students: it is an example of passion, innovation and commitment to the environment. Our participation in the MotoStudent International Competition, where we compete against universities from around the world to create the best electric motorcycle , is proof that dreams can come true,” declares the team's marketing manager.

In the MotoStudent International Competition, both the technical and economic aspects of the project and its applicability in the world of motorcycling and road safety are valued. Therefore, the team prepares conscientiously throughout the course to achieve the best results in all categories.

“In every braking, acceleration, time trial and race, USRacing takes its prototype to the limit, demonstrating that the spirit of improvement is the engine that drives its achievements. With every turn of the wheel, they are forging a more sustainable and exciting future . USRacing is not only a team, but a source of inspiration for all those who believe that no dream is too big and that passion and innovation can change the world,” says the team's team leader.

14 years of passion and innovation

In 2009, a group of students from the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, passionate about the world of motors , engineering and with a shared vision of what they wanted their time at the university to be, gave life to the team. USRacing, starting from the idea of a modest combustion prototype.

The first five years of this journey were a period of constant growth , not only in technical terms but also in human terms, since the team incorporated students from different centers and faculties who added their knowledge and desire to the project. Each challenge was addressed with determination, and the team surrounded itself with the best support to achieve an audacious goal : build a prototype that would mark a new stage in its commitment to the environment.

In 2019, a decade after its founding, USRacing took a momentous step by creating its first electric prototype . This commitment to sustainability not only filled the team with enthusiasm, but also marked the beginning of a long-term project, in which respect for the environment became an essential part of its DNA.

The project of creating a new motorcycle prototype is a monumental challenge for the team, and its success would not be possible without the support of its sponsors and the invaluable collaboration of the Higher Technical School of Engineering and the University of Seville. To all of them, USRacing would like to express its sincere gratitude for the trust placed in the team.
