The students of the Higher Technical School of Engineering protagonists of the XIX Entrepreneurship Ideas Contest of the US

The Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Secretariat of the University of Seville has presented the prizes for the XIX Entrepreneurship Ideas Contest of the University of Seville .

The winning team, BIOSENSORMED , which develops and markets biosensors based on 2D material for the medical sector, is made up of Santiago Moreno, Lucía López, Jesús Parra and Pilar Fernández, Master's students at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville . The first prize obtained by this group is endowed with €3,000 awarded by AUSTRAL VENTURE GESTION, as well as a stay to attend the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at the University of California-Berkeley.

Another of the teams, SERVIAGRO , also made up of ETSI Master's students, has won the 'Chamber of Commerce and Factory of Seville' award. Their project, Servi-Agro, provides an automation solution for existing agricultural machinery in the field.

Finally, the Social Council of the University of Seville has awarded, as every year, the Prize for Greatest Social Impact and Alignment with the SDGs, also endowed with a stay at the European Innovation Academy in Porto, to DROPTECH SOLUTION , formed by students of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville.

The participation of ETSI students in this XIX of the US Entrepreneurship Ideas Contest has been a complete success, since of the eleven finalist teams, nine have been initiatives presented by groups of students from the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the US. This is added to the fact that, in the last five editions of the contest, groups made up of students from the Center have won first prize on four occasions.  

This great result obtained continuously by the ETSi students is a recognition to both the participants and the teachers who teach the subjects that provide them with the knowledge demonstrated in the competition.
