XVIII edition of the Entrepreneurship Ideas Contest of the University of Seville

Among the prizes are international entrepreneurship training programs that will be taught in Berkeley, Boston or Porto, in addition to up to 18,000 euros intended to promote and consolidate the business initiatives of the participants. 

The Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Secretariat of the University of Seville organizes the 18th edition of the Entrepreneurship Ideas Contest , a program aimed at all members of the US university community interested in learning how to transform a business idea into a project. real and with possibilities of success.

Students (bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees), alumni (belonging to the Alumni US community), teaching and research staff (PDI) and administration and services staff (PAS) can participate in this contest. The business initiatives will be organized into two categories, depending on their members:

  • 'Students/Alumni' category: person currently enrolled in the US or who have been.
  • 'PDI-PAS' category: teaching and research staff and administration and services staff of the University of Seville.

Those interested can register until April 30 by filling out the form available on the Santander X platform , the entity that finances the contest.

During the contest, six training sessions on subjects related to entrepreneurship will be carried out, in online format, for all participants. The training modules will be taught by experts from different areas. Among the sessions are: business idea, planning and development of a strategic plan; challenges and main fundraising trends; communication, marketing and digital strategy; or leadership, negotiation and teamwork skills.

In addition to registering in a timely manner, teams must present a complete business idea proposal before the closing of the call (April 30). If the proposal is selected as a finalist, the team will receive one-to-one mentoring sessions, with the aim of promoting the project before the closing ceremony and exhibition of initiatives, marked on May 25, before an expert jury from different organizations related to the world of entrepreneurship and business environment.

The winners will have the possibility of attending international stays to develop entrepreneurial skills at the Universities of Berkeley ( Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship Bootcap ), Boston ( Badson Build ) or Oporto ( European Innovation Academy ), as well as grants of up to 18,000 euros for the promotion and consolidation of initiatives.

The Secretariat for Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship continues to support the entrepreneurial spirit, promoting entrepreneurial skills among students, researchers and administration and service personnel. In this way, the University of Seville continues to position itself as a relevant member within the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the region.
