Access: As access requirements, it will be necessary to meet both the access requirements to the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering (MII) and those corresponding to the Master's Degree in Electronic, Robotics and Automation Engineering (MIERA), with the respective Academic Commissions retaining the powers over the evaluation of candidates and the establishment of supplementary training and leveling subjects referred to in the verification reports, with the exception of the subjects specified in section 3f of this section, which will be considered as supplementary training for the double Master's degree.

Recommended Profile: The recommended entry profile for the Master's in Industrial Engineering is that of a student with prior undergraduate training in Electronic Engineering or Robotics and Automation, although graduates of other programs with the qualifications of Industrial Technical Engineer may also be admitted. The aforementioned degree provides its graduates with the scientific foundation to develop and apply their knowledge in the industrial and business sectors in the areas of electricity, electronics, metallurgy, chemistry, energy, textiles, industrial organization, or robotics. These graduates possess a generalist background in various industrial technologies, a strong foundation in basic sciences, and a broad understanding of industrial engineering, always meeting the admission requirements for the Master's program as stipulated in Order CIN/311/2009, which establishes the requirements for the verification of official university degrees that qualify graduates to practice as Industrial Engineers.
In any case, students beginning this degree program should possess the following aptitudes:
Personal Characteristics: Students with intellectual curiosity that drives them to develop the necessary skills and who wish to delve deeper into the field of industrial engineering. Candidates should have a critical attitude and analytical skills; planning, organizational, and teamwork abilities; motivation for self-directed learning in the field of technical studies; and an interest in pursuing a professional career in the industrial sector.
Academic Characteristics: Given the advanced teaching involved in this Master's program, it is necessary for students to have acquired a solid foundation in both the basic sciences, primarily Mathematics and Physics, and industrial technologies (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Automation Engineering, and Industrial Chemistry and Environmental Engineering). Regarding the
entry requirements for the Master's in Electronic, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, the following are considered:
• Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Robotics, and Mechatronics Engineering; Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering with specializations in Automation or Electronics; Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering or equivalent: No supplementary courses will be required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering (other specializations); Other Engineering Degrees: Given the diverse knowledge that different engineering disciplines may present, the Academic Committee for the Degree will decide which supplementary courses the student must complete based on their academic record.
• Other degrees that grant access to the Master's program: In general, all supplementary courses will be required, although the Academic Committee may decide that some supplementary courses are not necessary for the student based on their academic record.
