Access: As access requirements, it will be necessary to comply with both the access requirements to the MIQ and those corresponding to the MIAMB, with the respective Academic Commissions retaining the powers regarding the evaluation of candidates and the establishment of training supplements referred to in the verification reports.

Recommended Profile: The Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Seville is the official university degree used as a reference for designing the curriculum of the Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering. Therefore, it is considered the reference degree for the Master's program, and its graduates have direct access to the Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Seville without additional coursework.
However, the specific admission requirements for this Master's program are described and detailed in the Resolution of June 8, 2009, from the General Secretariat of Universities, which publishes the Agreement of the Council of Universities establishing recommendations for universities to submit applications for official degrees in the fields of Computer Engineering, Technical Computer Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. These requirements are as follows:

  • Access to the Master's degree linked to the practice of the profession of Chemical Engineer will be granted to those who have previously acquired the skills set out in section 3 of the Ministerial Order establishing the requirements for the verification of official university degrees linked to the practice of the profession of Industrial Technical Engineer, and whose training is in accordance with that established in section 5 of the aforementioned order, all of which refers to the module of Specific Technology of Industrial Chemistry.
  • Likewise, those who hold any other degree may access this Master's program, without prejudice to the establishment of any additional prior training deemed necessary to guarantee the competencies included in the industrial chemistry section of the aforementioned order.

The preceding sections shall be understood without prejudice to the provisions of Article 17.2 and the fourth additional provision of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of October 29.
Regarding the recommended entry profile for the Master's in Environmental Engineering, the recommended entry profile is a graduate in Chemical Engineering or a Senior Chemical Engineer. These graduates will not be required to complete any supplementary coursework for the Master's program. Graduates in Industrial Technology Engineering, Agricultural Engineering (and similar fields), Civil Engineering (and similar fields), Energy Engineering (and similar fields), Mining Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and Chemistry (or similar Engineering/Bachelor's degrees) are also considered preferred entry profiles, although they will be required to complete supplementary coursework within the field of Chemical and/or Environmental Engineering fundamentals (depending on their entry degree and student profile).
