The University of Seville opens a new Chair with the multinational Hitachi Energy

The University of Seville and the Hitachi Energy have taken a significant step in their collaboration after signing an agreement for the creation of the Hitachi Energy Chair, which will be based at the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI). This chair will become a benchmark of excellence to promote the transfer of knowledge and innovation between the academic field and the industrial sector.

Hitachi's close relationship with the ETSI has caused the Mechanical Engineering group at the University of Seville to develop various R&D&I projects related to the characterization of different parts of high-power transformers , with simulations and models of their behavior, instrumentation, etc. Promoting this type of projects, as well as strengthening and formalizing the company's relationship with Engineering students, has been the objective of founding the new chair.

Within the framework of this new agreement, students will be able to access conference programs, sessions and conferences, as well as complete their bachelor's and master's degree projects linked to Hitachi Energy's activity. Likewise, another fundamental pillar that is strengthened with this union is that of scholarships and internship offers in different areas of the company. The degrees that will benefit most from the signing of this agreement will be those related to Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical and Energy Engineering.

Joint work in R&D
