Course "New Applications of Generative AI for Engineering Professors and Researchers"

Course: "NEW APPLICATIONS OF GENERATIVE AI FOR ENGINEERING TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS" .

 

Given the growing relevance of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) in the academic and research field, this course aims to provide teaching and research staff with practical tools and knowledge for its effective application.

 

Key Points:

  • Level: The course is designed to start from scratch , so no prior experience in IAG is required.
  • Update: This course is also suitable for those who already have basic knowledge and wish to update themselves on the latest tools and approaches. The first module can serve as an introductory review for this group.
  • Objectives: To learn how to use key tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and some other more advanced or specific ones, to optimize teaching/research/administrative tasks, to create innovative materials and to apply IAG ethically.
  • Content: IAG fundamentals, prompt engineering , exploration and practice with current tools, academic use cases, and ethical considerations.
  • Methodology: Practical and collaborative approach, with direct application of tools in class.

 

Administrative Information:

  • Duration: 9 hours (distributed in 3 sessions of 3 hours),
  • Dates: May 13, 20 and 27
  • Schedule: 10:30-1:30 p.m., room 007 ETSi.
  • Requirements: Aimed at PDI (Teaching and Research Staff) of the Engineering and Architecture Branch.
  • Certification: The ICE will issue a certificate of completion to those who attend 80% of the classes and complete the assigned work.
