Description: Andalucía Emprende, a foundation attached to the Ministry of University, Research and Innovation, has joined 'NASA International SpaceApps Challenge' once again this year, the world's largest STEAM hackathon, organized by NASA in collaboration with international space agencies, with the aim of promoting technological entrepreneurship and collaborative innovation to solve real problems related to Earth and space.
Registration, challenges and dynamics:
Until October 3rd, those interested can register for the event through the NASA Space Apps Spain and choose from the 19 official challenges , all focused on space exploration, planetary sustainability, and the use of open data to solve real-world problems. Among the challenges are proposals such as identifying sharks using satellite data, designing recycling systems for missions to Mars, creating personalized weather forecasts for events like weddings or celebrations, developing artificial intelligence models to discover exoplanets, and creating educational tools about space weather and sustainable agriculture.
Over the weekend, participants will work in teams (20 groups of five students each) to address the selected challenge by designing an entrepreneurial project . They will be supported by mentors, technical specialists in business models, and helpers knowledge of the aerospace sector.
The projects that emerge in this competition will be evaluated by a jury of experts, made up of professionals, entities and organizations from the sector.
