On September 18, 2025, a memorial service will be held in honor of José Domínguez Abascal, a beloved teacher and colleague, former Director of the School of Engineering at the University of Seville (ETSi) and Professor of Structures, who passed away on May 31, 2024. The service, jointly organized by the ETSi and the Royal Academy of Sciences of Seville—of which Pepón was a full member—will take place in the School's Assembly Hall at 6:30 p.m. A plaque in his memory will be unveiled at the end of the service.
