ETSI students achieve the pass to the final of the international competition Times
The team Jada, formed by the students of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, Javier Jiménez Pareja, Agustín Mayor Lora, David Barrero Fernández and Alejandro Rodríguez López, has achieved a new academic milestone when proclaiming First position winner In the semifinals of the prestigious International Contest for Consulting Case Study Times (Tournament in Management and Engineering Skills).
The competition, organized by the European Network ESTIEM (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management), was held last weekend in Budapest and brought together Eight university teams from different European universities. After an intense day of analysis and resolution of real business cases, the Sevillian team managed to impose on other participants, achieving the classification for the Great end, which will take place from June 24 to 27 in Aquison (Germany).
This achievement marks a special milestone for Estiem LG Sevilla, association to which classified students belong, since from 2017 No Sevillian team had reached the final of this demanding international contest.
Alejandro Rodríguez, wanted to express the thanks of the team to the University of Seville for “the support received to finance our participation in the semifinals. It has been an academic and personal experience unique and unforgettable”.

Times (Tournament in Management and Engineering Skills) It is the biggest European competition of Consulting Case Study Organized by students. The objective of the tournament is to test the analytical, strategic, communication and teamwork of engineering students throughout Europe, through the resolution of real business challenges proposed by collaborating companies.
ESTIEM (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management) is a network that connects industrial organization engineering students in more than 70 European universities, promoting their academic and professional development through international projects, exchanges and competences.
Estiem Sevilla (LG Sevilla) It is the local group of this network at the University of Seville, active within the ETSI, where students organize and participate in training events, international skills and personal and professional development activities in an international environment.
