On Thursday, September 18, 2025, a Memorial and Tribute Ceremony will be held for José Domínguez Abascal, known as Pepón, a beloved teacher and colleague, and former Director of the School of Engineering at the University of Seville (ETSi) and Professor of Structures, who passed away on May 31, 2024.

The event, organized jointly by the ETSi and the Royal Seville Academy of Sciences—of which Professor Domínguez Abascal was a Full Member—will be held in the School's Assembly Hall at 6:30 p.m. A plaque in his memory will be unveiled at the end of the event.
