More than 1200 young people participate in the Pre-University Days of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville
The Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville (ETSI) will receive until Thursday, February 8, more than 1,200 students in their second year of Baccalaureate or second year of Higher Level Vocational Training Cycles with access to Engineering studies, ready to get to know the center and its facilities, as well as the degrees that are taught and the research that is carried out.
Visiting students, accompanied by their faculty advisors, are welcomed in the Auditorium by the ETSI Directorate, who presents the School and its range of degrees, internships, mobility opportunities, career paths, and the research activities carried out at the center. They are then given a tour of the School's facilities, including the Main Building and the Workshops and Laboratories Building, with a particular focus on the research laboratories. This year, they will also have the opportunity to meet members of the Center's student associations, with whom they can exchange opinions and ask questions about engineering studies and university life.
More than 50 secondary schools in Seville city and province have responded to the annual callmade by the ETSi management to explain to potential future students the training and research work of the School and the studies they can pursue if they ultimately decide to opt for the various Engineering programs offered.
These workshops are part of an initiative by the ETSi Management to provide a real and practical overview of the degrees offered at this center, as well as the research carried out in the field of Engineering, to high school and advanced vocational students who, in the coming months, will have to make one of the most important decisions of their lives: choosing their university studies, which will affect their academic and, later, professional future.
