Tsinghua University names Professor Antonio Gómez Expósito Distinguished Visiting Professor

The professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Seville, Antonio Gómez Expósito, has been named Distinguished Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University (Beijing) . The recognition ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Department of Electrical Engineering of said university.

Professor Gómez Expósito, who teaches at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville , from where he also directs the Endesa Chair Distinguished Visiting Fellow of the Energy Internet Research Institute at the same event .

After a first intervention by Professor Kai Sun, in which he recounted part of the professional and academic career of Professor Gómez Expósito, he gave a few words of gratitude and spoke on the topic ' Applied Maths and Power Systems: 125 years of symbiosis '. Subsequently, Professor Chongqing Kang, director of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University, presented him with the certificates accrediting both appointments.

Tsinghua University, considered the most prestigious in China , ranks twelfth in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 and is first in Asia in the Shanghai ranking.

These appointments recognize, among other works, the extensive collaboration of Professor Gómez Expósito with different Chinese institutions and researchers , including his work as Vice Chief Editor of the magazine 'Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy' and the editing of several monographs together with Professor Yusheng.
