On Thursday, September 18, 2025, a memorial service will be held in remembrance and tribute to José Domínguez Abascal, Pepón, beloved teacher and colleague and former Director of the School of Engineering of the University of Seville (ETSi) and Professor of Structures, who passed away on May 31, 2024.

The ceremony, jointly organized by the ETSI and the Royal Academy of Sciences of Seville—of which Professor Domínguez Abascal was a full member—will be held in the School's Assembly Hall at 6:30 p.m. A plaque in his memory will be unveiled at the end of the ceremony.
