Publication date

The Higher Technical School of Engineering at the University of Seville organized the seminar "Electronics for Hostile Environments | Mission Alpha, a Case Study " on March 6th. The event, open to the general public and to the School's PhD and Master's students, offered a unique opportunity to explore the challenges and advances in the field of electronics applied to hostile environments, with a special focus on Mission Alpha , which will launch the first 100% Andalusian satellite into orbit.

The seminar was held both in person and online . Participants were able to join the various sessions, which covered topics such as CubeSat structure design and fabrication, system architecture for CubeSats and ground stations, and magnetic measurement techniques for future space-based gravitational wave observatories. Leading experts in this field, including representatives from the Alpha Mission consortium such as the Ontech Cluster, the Smart City Cluster, companies like Indaero, Cactus, Integrasys, and Alter Technology, and the Aerospace Engineering and Electronic Engineering from the University of Seville, shared their knowledge and experience in these sessions.

Mission Alpha is an initiative financed in its first phase by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism within the program to support the AEIs to contribute to improving the competitiveness of Spanish industry, and with the support of the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, it represents a key initiative to strengthen the competitiveness of Spanish industry.
