Three ETSI students have been awarded at the IV National Olympiad on Theory of Machines and Mechanisms (OTM2)

Elias Nuñez, David Fería and Juan Feijóo bronze medal in the team and individual category of the IV National Olympiad on Theory of Machines and Mechanisms

Three ETSI students have formed the team that represented the University of Seville in the IV National Olympiad on Theory of Machines and Mechanisms (OTM2) , held in Toledo from September 28-30, 2022, and were awarded 3rd place. in individual category and 3rd place in team category.

The team was made up of students Elías Núñez Ortega (3rd in the individual category), David Feria Conforto and Juan Feijóo Rodríguez, students of the ETSI of the University of Seville.

In total, 16 students from six universities throughout the national territory have challenged themselves in solving four complex problems in which they had to apply the knowledge acquired in the subject of Theory of Machines and Mechanisms. The first and second place by teams has gone to the Public University of Navarra and the Carlos III University of Madrid , respectively.

The OTM2 is a student Olympiad sponsored by the Spanish Association of Mechanical Engineering AEIM , with the main objective of energizing and highlighting the teaching of the Theory of Machines and Mechanisms taught at the Spanish University. In addition, it aims to be a tool for selecting teams to participate in the international SIOMMS Olympics, Students International Olympiad of Mechanism & Machine Science , sponsored by the International Federation of Science of Machines and Mechanisms IFToMM.
