The Department of Applied Physics III of the Higher Technical School of Engineering, ETSi, organizes a tribute to Emilio Gómez González, his beloved and longed-for colleague

In memory and appreciation of the person of Professor Emilio Gómez González, who died in January 2023 , the Department of Applied Physics III organizes the event "What is light for? Tribute to Emilio Gómez González. A journey through his life and his work", which will be held in the ETSi Assembly Hall on May 29, 2023 starting at 6:00 p.m.

This event will be chaired by the authorities of the University of Seville and the Higher Technical School of Engineering of Seville, and will have the participation of Mª Isabel Gómez González, Emilio's sister, to remember her time as a student and the vision from her family ; Consuelo Bellver Cebreros , professor and co-director of his thesis; Antonio González Fernández , director of the Department of Applied Physics III of the US and Emilio's colleague; Javier Márquez Rivas , neurosurgeon and Emilio's collaborator; Emilia Gómez Gutiérrez , researcher with a medal from the City of Seville, as a former student and recent collaborator.

All people who want to pay tribute and fondly remember the appreciated Emilio Gómez González (RIP) will be welcome to this event.
