The Higher Technical School of Engineering at the University of Seville today received a visit from the Mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz , accompanied by the Deputy Mayor, Álvaro Pimentel , for a day dedicated to innovation and university talent. They were welcomed by the school's management, who accompanied them on a tour of its various facilities.
During the visit, the municipal representatives learned in detail about the daily work carried out by the associations ARUS , Coheteros , VANTUS, and FYCUS , all of which are renowned for their work in applied engineering and the development of technological prototypes. The students presented the design, manufacturing, and validation processes for the models they use to compete in various national and international competitions.
The mayor and deputy mayor showed particular interest in the technical aspects of the prototypes, delving into issues related to materials, aerodynamics, propulsion systems, electronics, and the engineering methods used by the teams. During this technical exchange, all parties agreed on the importance of fostering both the retention and return of talent to Seville , recognizing its essential role in driving the city's economic and social progress.
The event highlighted the excellent institutional harmony between the Seville City Council and the University of Seville, a cooperation that allows for the promotion of projects of great value to the city and strengthens an innovation ecosystem geared towards the technological challenges of the present and the future.
